Latest News: 3 AAP members injured in clash with Akali workers :- Bathinda: On Wednesday, there are reports of violent clashes between the supporters of Shiromani Akali Dal and Aam Aadmi Party in Bathinda district, Punjab.

As per the report of India Today that the workers of Akali Dal allegedly fired at AAP supporters leaving at least three of them injured.

According to the reports that three people had been arrested in connection with the incident.

Punjab goes to polls on 4 February with AAP and Congress vying to dislodge the ruling Akali-BJP combine government.

This clash incident comes only a day after when Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia told people of Punjab in a rally in Mohali yesterday said  that they should assume Arvind Kejriwal as the next chief minister of Punjab when they go to vote in the polls.

Yesterday, in a rally in Mohali, Punjab, Sisodia had said that this brother was just asking me who will become chief minister of Punjab (should Aam Aadmi Party win the election). Let me tell you one thing. You must vote thinking Arvind Kejriwal will become the chief minister of Punjab.

He added, “Ye samajh ke vote do ki aap Arvind Kejriwal ko vote de rahe ho. Aapka vote Kejriwal ke naam pe hai.”

Later, speaking to media, Sisodia defended his comments but added that the new chief minister will be elected by MLAs.

He said, ‘Let the time come. All I can tell you is that the new chief minister of Punjab will be an aam aadmi.”
