On Monday, 3 persons were killed and 3 other persons injured in an accident on Mumbai Nashik Highway. The accident occured when a car in which they were travelling on the Mumbai Nashik highway in Vashind police station limits in Thane.
As per the PI Anil Pawar of Vashind Police Station that the accident took place under Sahapur division in the wee hours when the victims were on their way to attend a Kunbi Sameelan at Asangaon. They were all hailing from Wada taluka,
When they reached Khativali, their car rammed into a speeding truck from the rear resulting in the accident.
The police said that the deceased were identified as Suraj Patil (26), Aksahy Sawant (25), and Samir Mohan Patil (25).
The 3 injured persons were admitted to Sahapur Rural Hospital immediately and later shifted to a hospital in Thane in a critical condition.
