AAP’s Target of 2017 – Goa, Punjab and Gujarat

The Aam Aadmi Party’s priority for the 2017 is the three poll bound states – Goa, Punjab and Gujarat. The Deputy Chief minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia said that the main focus of the party will be to wrest power in the three crucial states going to polls next year and consolidate the position of the party nationally.

In a conference, Sisodia told the media that the vision of AAP for 2017 is bagging Goa, Punjab and Gujarat. Big elections will be held in 2017. Moreover, Sisodia said that we are fully confident of forming governments in Punjab and Goa and thereafter we will make preparations for Gujarat Assembly polls.

There is only work left for the chief minister of Delhi Kejriwal to freequent trips to Punjab and Goa over the past few months and do nothing but addressed public meetings in Punjab.

AAP party is not contesting the assembly election in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The Political Affairs Committee(PAC) member and in-charge of Punjab – Sanjay Singh said that the party will focus on all states where polls will be held. We are going to make demonetisation – a major issue this year.

Kejriwal visited the two states, attacking BJP and Prime Minister Modi over the issue. The issue of arrest of JNU student leader Kanhaiya Kumar was aggressively highlighted by the party which came out all guns blazing and accusing the BJP-led dispensation at the Centre of harassing the students community across the country.

The Bijwasan AAP MLA – Devinder Sehrawat levelled serious allegations over the party affairs in Punjab, targeting the top leaders. He became third AAP MLA after Pankaj Puhskar and sacked minister Asim Ahmed Khan to rebel against Kejriwal.

Kejriwal inducted his loyalists like Raghav Chadha, Atishi Marlena, in the newly-constituted Political Affairs Committee (PAC), party’s apex decision making.
