Asaram Bapu to be flown to Delhi At AIIMS for medical examination

New Delhi: On Sunday, Self-styled godman – Asaram will be flown to Delhi for medical treatment at AIIMS under police custody. On Sunday afternoon, Asaram would be taken to New Delhi by an Air India flight in pursuance of the directions of the Supreme Court, said Police Commissioner of Jodhpur – Ashok Kumar Rathore.

Rathore said that we have formed a team of police officials to accompany him to Delhi and back to Jodhpur safely. Another team of the Delhi police is already in Delhi to receive him.

On 29th August 2016, the Supreme Court allowed Asaram to be taken to AIIMS for medical treatment from Jodhpur jail. Due to the festive season, Police delayed in taking Asaram to Delhi during which heavy police force is deployed in the city to maintain law and order.

The order had come after a three-member panel of doctors from AIIMS informed the Supreme Court that necessary equipment for evaluation of medical condition of Asaram were not there in Jodhpur jail and he needed to be brought to the AIIMS for proper medical check up.

On 31st August 2013, Asaram was arrested by Jodhpur Police and has been in Jodhpur jail since then.

A minor girl had accused Asaram of sexual assault at his ashram in Manai village near Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The girl who is belong to Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh was a student living in the ashram.

The case against Asaramji bapu is itself bogus as the FIR didn’tmentioned any rape n medical report also shows no scratch on body of the girl but deep conspiracy n loophloes in law has kept him in jail for 3 years.
