Asus which is a Taiwanese company will soon be launching their Camera centric smart phone which will be first introduced in India later this month followed by the introduction in US next month. Company has named this handset as “Asus Zenfone Zoom”. The launch for this handset is scheduled to be on 22nd January and 23rd January in Agra and for that company has already sent out the invites. The USP of this handset is definitely going to be its camera. Asus Zenfone Zoom incorporates 13MP of rear camera which is combined with 3X optical Zoom Lens, laser auto focus, optical image stabilization and dual LED Real Tone Flash.

For now the handset will be available in enticing “Black” and “White” colors. It is priced at the tag of INR 26,510 or US $399. But Asus has not yet confirmed at what price it will launch this handset in India. This Smart phone has a little different look with a bump at the rear panel where camera is placed.

It sports 5.5” FHD display delivering screen resolution up to 1080X1920pixels. It comes along with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 screen protection to avoid scratches. It also claims 401ppi pixel desnity and offers 66.66% screen to body ratio.
It is powered by quad core processor which is coupled along with 4GB of LPDDR3 internal RAM. The processor is clocked at the clock frequency of 2.5GHz/2.3GHz. To augment the graphics there is PowerVR G6430 GPU. It operates on android 5.1 Lolipop OS. The OS is layered by Asus Zen User Interface.
It bears 64GB/128GB of internal memory which can be further expandable up to 128GB with the help of MicroSD card slot. Coming to the most prominent feature of this handset i.e it’s Camera. As we have mentioned above it accommodates 13MP of rear shooter which is combined with Optical Image Stabilization, 3X Zoom. f/2.7-4.8 aperture, Laser auto focus and Real tone flash. Talking about the front camera, then it boards 5MP of front facing camera to click selfies and for video calling which deliver decent image quality. It also injects camera features like geo-tagging, touch focus, panorama, face detection and HDR.
It includes connectivity features like wiFi 802.11 b/g/n/a/ac, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+ etc. It also embodies 3000mAh battery which comes with special Asus Boostmaster fast charging feature. It also interjects sensors like accelerometer, proximity, gyro and compass.
