Well, as you all may know that India faced Bangladesh in the final of Women’s Asia Cup 2018. You all may aware of the fact that Indian Women team is winning this tournament since last 6 years without even losing it any time. Now, this year on the final match everybody expected that Indian Women team is going to win the match again but things changed a bit and now for the first time in last 6 years any other team won it. Here we are talking about Bangladesh women cricket team.
As per the reports, Bangladesh got a very good start from the opener Shamima Sultana and Ayasha Rahman and the both scored 35/0 in 6 overs with good speed in power play. After a long wait, Poonam Yadav dismissed both the openers packing in the next over and brought India back into the match. She later dismissed Fargana Hoque, taking her third wicket, leaving Bangladesh reeling at 55/3. After that, we have seen Nigar Sultana and Rumana Ahmed added 50 runs together to take their side closer to the target.
Now, in the final over we have seen that the Bangladesh Women team was 9 runs behind and everyone was praying for their team. Also, we have seen so much excitement when Bangladesh lost Ahmed via run out and we thought what is going to happen next? But they kept their nerves to take the double in the final ball to pull off a historic win.
If we talk about Indian batting then we can say that Harmanpreet Kaur’s 56 run knock wasn’t enough for the team because Bangladesh managed to get over the line in the final last ball. Overall, in the end, Bangladesh managed to win the tournament and with that winning, they made their nation proud. We loved today’s match and Women in Blue are the real heroes even though they lost it.
