BCCI President Shashank Manohar Resigns From His Post For ICC Position :- Shashank Manohar has officially resigned from the ICC board. He was on a post of the president in ICC. Shashank Manohar was a senior lawyer and BCCI president from 2008-2011. N. Srinivasan replaced him.
Everyone wants to know the reason behind this. Shashank Manohar also stepped down as a BCCI representative in the ICC.
He gave his resignation letter to the secretary of BCCI Anurag Thakur and said that he tendered his resignation with an immediate effect from the post of President of Board of Control for Cricket in India.
He added in his letter that he also resigned from the post representation of BCCI on the ICC. He also resigned from Asian Cricket Council. He was nominated by the general body of BCCI for Asian Cricket Council.
In his last statements, he thanked his friends and staffs for their support and help in Trial. Finally, he wished everyone all the best for their work. According to ICC rules, the President should be an independent nature.
While talking to media BCCI secretary, Anurag Thakur said that President must be an Independent member, hence not affiliated to a body. The exact reason for this resignation could assume after Anurag’s statement.
Manohar had taken BCCI president last year after the death of Jagmohan Dalmiya. Now Everyone is expecting Sharad Powar to return in BCCI as a boss. But it could only guess not verified or confirmed by Dekhnews.
Shashank Manohar is the president of Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA). It is one of the three full members in Maharashtra state.
