Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor’s recent release, Ki and Ka, has struck the right chord with the audience. The movie has opened on a great note and had a mind blowing collection of Rs 25.23 crores on the opening weekend, making it the third highest grosser this year. The story of the film has been successful to touch people’s heart. R Balki’s directorial venture has received a thumbs up from the fans and the film’s box office collection is a proof of it.

The film released worldwide on 1 April 2016 to mixed reviews. Praise was given to the performances and the focus on the stereotype but criticism was drawn towards the script and pace.
Akshay Kumar starrer Airliftcontinues to be on top spot, while Alia Bhatt, Fawad Khan and Sidharth Malhotra’s Kapoor & Sonstook the second spot. Akshay – Nimrat Kaur’s movie made a whopping RS 44.30 crore, Fawad,Alia and Sidharth’s film was way behind with 26. 35 crore. Kareena and Arjun’s movie is running pretty close on number 3. This is indeed an achievement for Kareena and Arjun, both seem to have broken a myth about younger hero and older heroine stereotype.
Earlier Kareena Kapoor Khan had work with the young actor Imran Khan in “Ek Main or Ek Tu”, the movie was not successful on the box office , as the story of the film is not good enough to be a hit at the box office.
The film will not crash in the second week as it has found appreciation among some section of audience. It remains to be seen where the film goes from here, as there is still one open week for Ki and Ka.
