British-Iranian aid worker acquitted of death of Indian boy :- Narges Kalbasi Ashtari was jailed for a year over the death of five-year-old Asim Jilakara, who disappeared from a picnic.
Ms Ashtari denied causing death and has been on bail pending.
She stated about the death to the police on the day, but a month later officers filed a complaint against her that she had killed the boy.
‘Jilakara’s mother accused Ashtari of killing her son, but Ms Ashtari said that she was caught up in corruption after she refused to pay bribes after the accident.
She was banned from leaving India which drew the attention of aid organisations.

Ms Ashtari moved to the UK when she was four and then to Canada to live with her aunt after losing both her parents. She moved to Orissa in 2011, where she established a foundation for orphaned children.
