On Tuesday, Renuka Chowdhury who is the Congress senior leader sparked a controversy with her remark “rape to chalte hi rehte hain”. She also said that one would not continuously those in power because of delayed police action.
When asking a question on the Bulandshahr gangrape case in Uttar Pradesh, Congress senior leader Renuka Chowdhury said that it is the responsibility of the police to investigation the case or something else. The investigation may take a long time.
She said that we will have to see the future course of action because we are fed up of the situation in Uttar Pradesh. We hear everybody talking on rape everyday when we wake up. ‘Rape to chalte hi rehte hai’ she said in her statement to media. The police arrested someone after 10-20 days and then think that we will continuously their back then this will not happen.
On Monday late night, the Uttar Pradesh Police confirmed to have arrested the prime accused and two others of his accomplices of the gang suspected to be involved in the Bulandshahr gang-rape of a woman and her teenage daughter 14 years old.
