The education department-appointed inquiry committee has now submitted a report to the deputy director of school education. The verification prima facie established that officials entered into a criminal conspiracy in the year 2011-12 and 2012-13 and misappropriated government funds to the tune of Rs 13,68,370 out of SSA and Mid-Day Meals funds, the spokesman said. He said the officials opened a fictitious account in J&K Bank Branch TP Sopore. The misappropriated amount has been withdrawn from the official account of ZEO Dangerpora and maintained in JK Bank TP Sopore and credited into the fictitious account, he said.
