The HERO Carribean Premier League is underway and the most awaited match of this tournament had been played this morning. Yes, friends I am talking about the match between the Jamaica Tallawahs and the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, which was organized at the Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts.

MATCH SUMMARY

Faf Du Plessis who is the captain of the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots won the toss and asked the Chris Gayle’s team to bat first. The dashing opening pair of Chris Gayle and Chadwick Walton walked the crease to pen the batting for their team. Although, Chadwick Walton fell soon after just managing to score 3 runs, but soon Kumar Snagakar Joined the hands with Chris Gayle to steady the innings for Jamaica Tallawahs.

Both batted sensibly, where Gayle smashed a brilliant 51 off just 36 balls and Sangakkara scored much needed 26 . Then their partnership broke and Gayle went back to the pavilion on the back of a brilliant bowling by Thisara Perera and soon after Sangakkara involved in a runout.

After that, except from Andre Russel who scored quick fire 34 off just 20 balls, others failed to contribute and the likes of Shakib Al Hasan and Rowan Powell felt with troubling the scoreboard.

Kesrick Williams snapped the two important wickets of Thisara Perera and Brad Hodge and then Jonathan Carter was stumped by the brilliant ball of Shakib All Hasan.

Although, after that, Devon Thomas played a brilliant knock of 25 off just 7 balls but he even failed to reach the target and soon felt.

Then all the other lower order failed to make any impact with bat and thus Jamaica Callahan’s won the match by 5 Runs.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Kesrick Williams was declared the man of the match in the smatch for his brilliant bowling performance of 4-23-3.
