On Saturday, the Delhi Government announced to give the award to Rio Olympic medallist. The Delhi Government will give Rs. 2 crore to Rio Olympic silver medallist P. V. Sandhu and Rs. 1 crore to Rio Olympic Bronze medallist wrestler Sakshi Malik as an award.
The Delhi Government also offers promotion to the father of Rio Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik. The father of wrestler Sakshi Malik works in Delhi Transport Corporation(DTC).
Yesterday, Indian shuttler P.V. Sandhu won the silver medal after being beaten 21-19, 12-21, 15-21 by the World no. 1 shuttler Carolina Marin of Spain.
After winning the silver medal, India got 2 medal in Rio Olympic Games 2016.
On Wednesday, Indian wrestler Sakshi Malik won the bronze medal in the 58 kg Freestyle women’s category.
