On Saturday, a 24-year-old man died as his car fell off a flyover in southeast Delhi. In this disastrous event, He was driving his car while returning from his engagement party.
Abhijeet Singh who was a Delhi-based builder was coming back to his home after having a party with his colleagues and friends. Just then his BMW that he was driving met with a collision, a policeman said.
The event occurred when Mr. Singh lost control of his car speed and it slammed into the fencing of the Lodhi road flyover and went over the side around 5 am, said a senior police officer.
Singh who resides in Azadpur was going towards his home via Lajpat Nagar where his closed ones had arranged a celibate’s party for him, he further added.
However, the police are waiting for his post-mortem reports as to determine whether he was driving under being alcoholic, said the police, adding that he was driving with high speed and that is why the collision of the event was really severe.
While an undergoing treatment, Abhijeet took his last breath at the Moolchand hospital as he was admitted in a very critical condition and had severe head injuries police said.
Singh was to get hitched soon to his girlfriend and was to engage in the incident’s evening, fatefully he was dead in the collision and his family has been in a state of shock. The police aren’t able to record their statement. Singh has a younger brother who is studying in the US and his father is also a builder.
Police are trying to determine if there was any other person involved at the time of the accident. Also, a case has been lodged under sections 279 for rash driving and 304(a) causing death by negligence under IPC.
