Delhi Smog: If we live 10 hours in this pollution, then we smoke 42 cigarettes

On Saturday, the Central Government said that due to the dangerous level of pollution in the national capital, Delhi is facing the situation like an emergency. The level of pollution in Delhi is so high that it means if we live 10 hours in this pollution, then we smoke 42 cigarettes. So many MCD schools in the national capital have been closed.

The fog covers Delhi and the level of pollution at many place is at 17 times higher than the safe level. The CM of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal met Environment Minister Anil Dave and demanded the immediate action on this situation.

Environment Minister Dave told the reporters that there is an emergency like situation in Delhi and the situation in Delhi is very worst especially for the olders, children, patients, and women. We need to take immediate steps to deal with the situation.

CM Kejriwal appealed to the people of Delhi that use the private vehicle in limit and use the public transport.

Anil Dave said that the situation in the national capital is very bad and to tackle the situation we need to use short term measure. Dave said that I discussed with Kejriwal on the short term measure to tackle the situation.

Dave said that there are five reasons of air pollution in which woods, coal, petrol, diesel and agricultural waste are included. We must need to find out the solution for this type of situation. He added that we should bring the change in our daily life style.

Kejriwal insisted on providing farmers with incentives and alternatives, so that the farmers leave the traditional way of burning the agricultural waste.
