Australia is literally desperately to play a full game under clear skies and the team is also keen to win the same when the team Australia face arch-rivals England in their must-win Champions Trophy and the both teams Australia and England will be facing each other on the Edgbaston on this Saturday.

While England is already through to the semi-finals, so all the pressure goes to the Australia as last time they got defeated in front of the New Zealand and Bangladesh hurt their chances of making the last four.

Australia had to share points with both their previous opponents and the team will be facing some tough situations at the tournament without playing a full game.

Rain threat over the crucial contest is the topic of discussion at the Edgbaston as the field most of the time get affected by the weather, one being Australia-New Zealand washout while games between India and Pakistan, and South Africa and Pakistan, had imperfect so today it is expected that the match will be perfect.

Even if the skies are clear on Saturday, Australia faces an intimidating task against title favorites England, who have breezed into the semi-finals with categorical wins over Bangladesh and New Zealand.

The batsmen from Down Under did not get much time and it is expecting that the rain won’t hit matches and now have to deal with a well-balanced English bowling attack.

The top-order — comprising David Warner, Aaron Finch, and Steven Smith — has still spent some time in the middle but the middler-order look did not perfect in the practice match.

Although, Australia would be taking positives out of their bowling performance in their last game in which they bowled out Bangladesh for 182 before rain and it is touted as the probable victory.

Premier pacer Mitchell Starc fired with four wickets and was well supported by Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins. Leggie Adam Zampa too was inspiring with two wickets in four overs.

They will have to find a way or solution to hold the in-form England batting which crossed 300 in both their previous games.

Opener Alex Hales scored his second fifty of the tournament against New Zealand while Joe Root came up with a half-century after his unbeaten 133 in the Champions Trophy opener against Bangladesh. Jason Roy is the only one who is due for big runs.

Former Australia batsman Michael Hussey feels England will be favorites to win the much-awaited fixture.
“There is a great rivalry between Australia and England spanning over a century and any match between the two teams is always hotly contested,” Hussey wrote in his column for the ICC.

“I am sure England would love nothing else but to knock the dangerous Australian team out of the tournament. For Australia, it is important to be desperate but to not try too hard to force the result. Sometimes the harder you try, the worse you play. It is also important to look down and not up with regards to the weather.

They must keep their focus on what they can control and the weather is something they can’t,” he added further.

England:

Eoin Morgan will likely retain the same team and he will face in the field against New Zealand in Cardiff. After that match, the captain described that line-up as England’s best and the match will be with a balanced look to it with Adil Rashid reinstated to lead the spin attack.

The team will include Jason Roy at the top of the order who retains the faith, for now, of the captain and management despite last time there were some difficulties in the match. Jason Roy last time scores 47 runs in seven ODIs this summer.

Australia:

Australia is also likely to remain same in the match although they could bring in James Pattinson or John Hastings for spinner Adam Zampa if Smith decides he wants to hit England with a speed torrent and to attempt to use the overhead conditions. In that case, Glenn Maxwell would provide the spin option then the match will good.

And in the bat at number five while the claims of Chris Lynn for a place in the batting line-up will remain unrewarded for the moment as Travis Head continues in the middle order.
