Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa to get a sequel: Bollywood nowadays is all busy in creating the sequels and the latest film to join the list is none other than 2007 super hit Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa. As per to the recent report in Mumbai Mirror, the 2007 horror-comedy is going get a part 2 very soon as the producer of the first film, Bhushan Kumar, has given the green signal to its sequel.

According to the source close to the development stated, “Bhushan wanted to make a part 2 of Bhool Bhulaiyaa for a while now and has cracked an idea with Farhad Samji, who will be writing and directing the film. It is in the development stage and will feature a fresh cast. Once the final script is locked, the team will kick off casting and other pre-production formalities.”

Bhushan Kumar’s production house T-Series has also registered the title Bhool Bhulaiyaa and it is going to be starting the work on the project soon.

Farhad Samji, who is going to direct the film, is currently busy with Akshay Kumar starrer Housefull 4. Earlier, he has directed Entertainment (2014) as well as Housefull 3 (2016) with his writer-brother Sajid.

The director is going to direct a number of films this year. The director has also written Coolie No. 1 remake which will cast Varun Dawan and Sara Ali Khan on the lead role. Other than that he has also written Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, Ahmed Khan’s Baaghi 3 as well as Aksay Kumar’s Laxmi Bomb.

Separately from Bhool Bhulaiya 2, the producer by now is remaking some of the classics of the past. The production house is remaking BR Chopra’s 1978 drama Pati Patni Aur Woh featuring Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday on lead roles and Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1975 comedy film Chupke Chupke, in which Rajkummar Rao is going to reappearance Dharmendra’s role.
