Kerala Blasters New Head Coach winger Coppell

There are a total number of 6 teams in this tournament  Atletico de Kolkata, Chennaiyin, Delhi Dynamos, Kerala Blasters, Mumbai City,  NorthEast United and Puny City.

Sachin Tendulkar is the owner of the Kerala Blasters and now news is coming out that Kerala Blasters has hired former England Footballer Steve Coppell as their new coach.

This is a huge boost for this team as the Steve Coppell who is of 60, has the experience of being an international footballer and his experience will come handy to many domestic players as well as to the international players.

Coppell had represented England in 42 games and even in the FIFA World Cup. He was active during 1977 to 1983, although his career was cut short by the injury.

Coppell has to build a new nucleus of the Kerala Blasters as this team failed to make any impact in its previous two seasons. He will also play the important role in the selection of the team.

Coppell has recently mentioned in his interview that ” ISL is developing rapidly recently in the last 2 years and this gives tremendous opportunities to the young domestic Indian Players to play alongside the international players”.

Time will tell whether this new coach will be able to change the fortune of Kerala Blasters but there is a guarantee of one thing that players will definitely learn a lot from their new coach.
