After watching the special screening of Aankhen 2, Rustom actress Ileana got to know that she is also cast in the film and then Ileana D’Cruz claimed that she never accepted the proposal of the maker of the film. Gaurang Doshi approached her with the proposal to play as the female lead in his movie. But she turns that offer and the announcement of her appearance in the movie is made without her acknowledgment. Yesterday Gaurang was absent to quote.
But today Gaurang came forward and says she made her consent and thereafter the maker arranged the screening to announce the cast of the film.
Gaurang told PTI about Ileana’s statement:-
“We had met with Ileana D’Cruz along with her manager and besides me, director Anees Bazmee was also present. We had this meeting two days before the launch event. She had said she liked the idea of the film and her role. And within a week she would sign an agreement,”
The maker continues saying that the cast announcement for the film was not done as being a publicity stunt.
“I don’t need publicity. My film doesn’t require her (Ileana) to get funds…She will not get me funds. Also, why would I put her in the promo? If I wanted to put promo of a heroine I would have put Katrina Kaif or any other big heroine,”
After such a blunder Gaurang Doshi , he doesn’t behave ruthlessly. He said,
“That time when we met at a five star hotel in Bandra everything was fine. We had negotiated price and all. Today she says doesn’t want to do Aankhen 2. Its her wish. Its fine now. All the best. I don’t want to put allegations. I just want this matter to end,” he said.
Talking about the film, Aankhen 2 is a sequel of Aankhen released in 2002. The flim has Arshad Warsi, Senior Bachchan and Anil Kapoor as the leads.
