Wresting fans across the globe has got their heartbroken on April 12 after original ECW star Balls Mahoney, real name Jonathan Rechner, passed away. The iconic wrestling star was only 44 years old. There is no point surprise that this is tragic news from the wresting world. Though much is not known about the devastating loss, the WWE confirmed the heartbreaking news.

Balls has a various faces and fans in professional wrestling. He began his wrestling career  with Smokey Mountain Wrestling in the late 80’s under the name Boo Bradley. His first appearances in the WWE were under the name “Xanta Claus”, an evil St. Nick parody. Finally, he joined Extreme Championship Wrestling as Balls Mahoney and the rest is history today.

He was known to be a brick-bat fighter. He was all time favourite of his fans and he often tag-teamed with fellow wrestler Axl Rotten. The duo called themselves “The Hardcore Chair Swinging Freaks.” shockingly, Axl also passed away this year at 44.

Balls Mahoney was a megastar of the wresting world. The cause of death is still not known. WWE did confirm the tragic loss, saying “WWE is saddened to learn of reports that Jonathan Rechner, best known for competing in ECW as Balls Mahoney, has passed away. WWE extends its condolences to Rechner’s family, friends and fans.”
