Khalistan Liberation Front chief Harminder Singh Mintoo who escaped the prison on Sunday evening has been arrested on Sunday, November 12, 2016. The Punjab Police along with the crime branch joined hand with each other to caught the Mintoo along with other escaped prisoners.According to the reports, the Khalistani terrorist was arrested after he made a call to one of his relative in the Subash Nagar and the phone call helped the Police to trace down the location of Harminder.
Meanwhile, Harminder along with his five troops escaped the jail on Sunday evening when numbers of the people in uniform asked the Jail official yo open the gate and when the gate was open they started firing and helped Harminder to escape the prison. There were numbers of others criminals too that ran from the jail on Sunday including Khalistan Liberation Force chief Harminder Singh Mintoo, Kashmir Singh (both terrorists) and dreaded gangsters Gurpreet Singh Lehmber, Vicky Gounder, Amandeep Dhotian and Neeta Deol.
The government and the agency soon launched a massive manhunt to track down the two terrorists, four gangsters, and the six high-profile prisoners. According to the reports, Parminder Singh was arrested just hours after from Kairana in Uttar Pradesh’s Shamli district, gangster Gurpreet Singh Lehmber and his aides, have also been arrested by Police in Jalandhar.
However, Punjab DGP Suresh Arora accepted that the whole incident was just the case of the mistaken identity and now, they will try to make sure that they won’t repeat suck kind of instances in upcoming times.
Meanwhile, the Congress political party has pointed out their guns at the BJP for lack of security in such a high profile jail.
