Gionee has unveiled new smart phone named “Gionee P5W”. It is targeting the lower range segment and is priced at the amount of INR 6,499 in India. Users can own this handset in enticing black, blue, red, white and yellow. Gionee P5W will be competing against the handset like Redmi 2 Prime which is available in similar price tag.
Gionee P5W Specifications
Timir Baran Acharyya who is the GM of Gionee India said that the Gionee P5W comes in different color variants like black, blue, red, white and yellow. This device is designed especially cater to the requirement of the younger generation. And the company is hoping that just like its predecessor even this handset is going to gauge the tremendous interest as well.
Before this handset company has launched “Marathon M5 Mini” which is a battery focused smart phone in their “Marathon” Flagship in Nigeria. This was the mini version of the company’s popular Marathon M5 Lite with small changes in the features like RAM, Chipset, storage backup etc. Company has not yet the mentioned the price and availability of this handset yet.
It sports 5” HD IPS OnCell Display delivering screen resolution 720X1280p. It is powered by Octa core processor which is clocked at the clock frequency 1.5GHz. It is based on MediaTek MT6735 chipset and is combined along with internal RAM of 1GB.
It operates on Android 5.1 Lolipop OS and is layered by company’s own Immersive user interface on the top. The display and processor of this handset offers decent performance.
It measures 143.3x72x8.9mm and just weighs 153 grams. It bears 16GB of memory on board and it can be further expanded up to 128GB. It accommodates 5MP of rear snapper which is coupled along with LED-Flash. There is also 2MP of shooter mounted on the board for clicking selfies and video calls as well. With 5MP of shooter, one can expect good quality but same is not the case with the front camera.
It houses 2000mAh which can power the handset all day long. It also embodies connectivity options like 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth V4.0, GPS and Micro USB V2.0. It also includes sensors like proximity, accelerometer, digital compass and ambient light sensors.
To enhance the audio, it incorporates DTS 3D surround sound technology. The other feature that we are getting on this smart phone is the face unlock feature.
