If we take Jackman at his word, that means his next stint as Wolverine in the untitled sequel to 2013’s The Wolverine, slated for release in 2017, may rule him out for the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, which is set to hit theaters in 2016. But considering the fact that Apocalypse is set for release before the final Wolverine movie, we wouldn’t be surprised if Jackman ends up making a cameo appearance in the film — despite his Instagram announcement suggesting the contrary.

It appears that Jackman has now decided that he will indeed hang up those adamant claws. He captioned an Instagram photo of a single pair of claws. The Australian star has played Logan a.k.a Wolverine seven times, this includes the cameo that he made in X-Men: First Class. It is widely believed that the actor has done justice to this character of Wolverine and now people are often think who will going to play this role and will take his place and do as good acting as Jackman.
