Indian PM Narendra Modi Again on His 5 days Historic visit to African Countries

visit to African countries Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on the visit of four African countries named as South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, and Mozambique. Modi’s visit is aimed at shoring up economic ties, maritime security and counterbalance China’s growing influence in the resources-rich countries.

The first nation, he visited Mozambique. According to PMO office, this visit will strengthen India’s bond with Mozambique. Modi received the ceremonial welcome at the Presidential office in Maputo.

After the ceremonial welcome, PM Modi and Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi began restricted talk. Both of them also delivered the joint statement in Maputo.

PM Modi said that Mozambique is always a gateway for India investment in Africa. PM Modi signed the agreement to meet India’s demand for pulses.

PM Modi also interacted with the Indian Community in Mozambique. Africa was the land which started with the identity of Indian Diaspora. After this PM Modi left from Mozambique.

The next destination of PM Modi was Pretoria, South Africa.

PM Modi met the South African President Jacob Zuma. South Africa is also the member of BRICS.

South African President congratulated India for their active support in United Nation’s peace programme in Africa. There are over 100 Indian companies in South Africa.

PM Modi said that we have stood together in our common fight against racial subjugation and colonialism. Mahatma Gandhi belongs as much to South Africa as to India.

PM Modi thanked South Africa for its supporting NSG bids.

Tremendous scope as India and South Africa strengthens their economic fundamentals. We must look at ways to diversify our trade basket, says Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

South Africa is India’s key trade and investment partner, bilateral trade has grown almost 380%.

PM Modi visited the city Durban in South Africa. Durban is the largest Indian city outside India. It is home to the largest population of Indian origin in South Africa, said PM Modi.

From Durban, Modi ji departs for Dar es Salaam of Tanzania.
