Jacqueline Fernandez Keen to Work with the Thalaiva Rajnikant

With 3 big releases this year, Housefull 3, Dishoom and A Flying Jatt and her debut on small screen as a judge with Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9, she clearly is in a safe space. Recalling about the past time when she didn’t have any job, she says she would nevermore want to taste like that ever again.

When questioned whom would she desire to do her next movie with, she was swift enough to take Thalliva Rajinikanth’s name. She has worked with her luck at comedy, romance and drama and presently she desires to do a kickass action thriller. She admitted that she is extremely nervous about her work initially but after ‘Kick’ she got a lot of courage.

Talking about her choice to do rounds on Small screens she stated

“There is connect that TV has with the audience which is something you can’t find anywhere else. And for me, I really want to start having that connect with my audience. I may not get that from my movies or the characters I do in films but I know I can get that in TV. Yeah and I think it’s a great opportunity to do that especially on a platform like Jhalak which is such a popular show. It was about time for me I felt.”

Jhalak has had successful and famous dancer-actors like Madhuri Dixit Nene and Shahid Kapoor sharing judges panel in the earlier seasons. Does that create influence on Jacqueline?

“I am feeling the pressure. I hope I do justice… Honestly, I am not a dance guru. They (contestants) are better dancers than me. All I can judge you is on wow today you really moved me, oh my god I had tears in my eyes, I had goose bumps or I was smiling. So that’s the only way I can judge you,” she says.

When questioned what further will she draw to the season, she said

“I want to bring a little bit of informality to the show. I don’t want to be in gowns and dresses… I want to make it a little bit informal…I don’t want them to see me as a judge. I want them to see me as a mentor as someone who has come here to encourage them.”
