J&K: 7 killed & 9 Injured After vehicle Fell Into Gorge In Bandipora :- In a furious accident, 7 people were killed and 9 people suffered injuries when a vehicle carrying over twenty-one people skidded and fell into a deep gorge on the Gurez-Bandipora road near Tragbal in J&K.

This accident occurred late Friday night. Five people were brought dead and two succumbed to injuries at Bandipora hospital, J&K.


Nine injured people are getting medical treatment at the hospital. A manhunt is on to grab the bus driver who is said to be missing. The vehicle belonged to Border Roads Organisation (BRO).

In the month of April 2016, at least 6 people were killed and 59 injured, when a bus skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Doda-Dhara link road in Doda district, J&K.

The Police Sources said that the ill-fated bus was on its way from Dhara to Doda and met with an accident at 1630 hrs, when the driver lost control over the vehicle, while negotiating a sharp curve and it plunged into a 200-feet deep gorge, resulting in six casualties and injuries to 59 others.

A police team, soon after received the information,  was rushed to the spot and rescue operation with the help of locals was launched.
