Kejriwal to undergo throat surgery to cure chronic cough problem

Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal is going away from the national capital for at least a fortnight for a throat surgery to cure cough problem and to take stock of preparations of AAP in poll-bound Punjab.

On 13th September, He will undergo the surgery to cure his chronic cough problem. He will take a 10-day rest there.

CM of Delhi will embark on a 4-day visit to Punjab starting from 8th September before leaving for Bengaluru. Kejriwal will meet AAP party leaders and address rally in Punjab.

A senior governmental official said that he will leave for Bengaluru on 12th September and undergo surgery next day. He is expected to come back on 22nd September.

In the absence of Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia will take over the chief ministerial works.

Deputy CM Manish Sisodia is also expected to visit Goa tomorrow. Aam Aadmi Party is gearing up for Goa Assembly election next year.

In last month from 2nd August to 11th August, Kejriwal had attended a 10-day Vipassana Session at a meditation centre in Dharmasala, Himachal Pradesh. During the Vipassana session, he had no access to phone , television and newspapers.

In the month of January, Kejriwal had undergone a 10-day naturopathy treatment for his cough problem at Jindal Nature Cure Institute, Bengaluru. However this time, Kejriwal will undergo throat surgery at a different health institute.

In 2015, Kejriwal had undergone for naturopathy treatment for 12 days at the Jindal Nature Cure Institute, Bengaluru for diabetes and chronic cough.
