Latest News: Sukma attack Rajnath not to play Holi :- The Home Minister Rajnath will not play Holi tomorrow as he was upset by the death of 12 CRPF men at Sukma in Chhattisgarh.

Before, he paid homage to the jawans Sukma attack in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur. During the day the minister also visited the injured jawans in the hospital and asked about their health.

The minister has called it ‘unfortunate’ says the sacrifice of the soldiers will not go waste.

Later, he called a meeting with the top security officials of the state with the Director General, CRPF in the meeting.

The union home minister highlighted the Naxal menace and called for coordinated action against the threat.

The attack took place when Maoist triggered and then opened fire on a road opening party. Maoist also took 10 weapons from the slain security personnel before escaping to the nearby forest.

Five jawans were also injured in the attack that took place in the dense forests of Bhejji police station at 9:15 AM when a patrol party of CRPF’s 219 battalions was out for a road opening task near Kotacheru village. Also, 112 security personnel were part of the patrol party.
They also took two radio sets from the killed men.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed saddened over the loss of lives in the attack on security personnel in Chhattisgarh.
Prime Minister said that he spoke to Home Minister Rajnath Singh on the situation.

It has been decided that the total ex gratia which will be given to the families of the jawans should not be less than Rs 1 crore, the Home minister confirmed.
