Latest News Updates! Strong Earthquake Occurred In China: 1 Killed

The strong earthquake took place in the remote far western area of China where one person killed. The US Geological Survey said the quake had a preliminary magnitude of 6.5, it comes from the side of western Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

As per the report, it is at least one villager after a home collapsed, authorities said on the Saturday morning and the tremor was massive, unfortunately.

The seismological bureau of China’s Xinjiang region said that 55 homes were damaged and 32 collapsed in an area bordering Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan and the quake is just deadly.

The government has dispatched emergency response workers and closed some railways in southern Xinjiang. The US Geological Survey revealed that the tremor had a preliminary magnitude of 6.5 and struck western Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The USGS reported the quake as quite shallow, at a depth of 12 kilometres (7.5 miles).

Shallow earthquakes are more likely to cause damage in populated urban areas, but that area of the Xinjiang more or less village area. China’s earthquake monitoring agency said the quake epicentre was located in Akto county in Kizilsu Khirgiz Autonomous Prefecture in Xinjiang, which is near area of the regional hub of Kashgar.

State news agency Xinhua says that the rescue teams in the Xinjiang region have been sent to help isolated communities in China’s mountainous which is having the border with Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan with the hope that the team will be managed to save the wounded people and victim of the deadly earthquake.

Apart from a villager died because of the tremble it is six houses were also found cracked or collapsed, the state news agency confirms the news. The China Earthquake Administration has activated a level III emergency response as now the country needs rest from rest of the people.

The US Geological Survey says the quake, with a depth of 75km, struck the area at around 10.24pm Friday night (local time).
