News is that LG and Verizon has collaborated together silently to launch their brand new and affordable Windows handset. Both companies were working silently on this product and now have finally arrived with their latest venture. It is touted as the firs handset by the company to run on WP8. It is pretty decent device with quite good features and specs. Moreover both the companies were trying to make this smart phone budget friendly so that it can be in affordable range of maximum of customers. LG has named this handset as “Lancet”.
LG Lancet Specifications
It is going to be a 4.5” handset which will offer screen resolution of 480X854 pixels. 4.5” display with 480X854pixels will proffer decent image quality but it could have been better with HD display. It will be powered by quad core processor which will be clocked at the frequency of 1.2GHz. The processor will be based on Snapdragon’s 410 chipset and will be coupled along with 1GB of internal RAM. Talking about the processor then it is not an extra ordinary one but will proclaim glitch free performance.
There will be 8GB of internal storage on board out of which only 4GB will be usable. It is going to have external memory which can be expanded further with the help of MicroSD card slot. It will house 2100mah battery at the rear panel which promises talk time up to 18.5 hours.
Talking about the camera front, then there is going to be 8MP of snapper at the rear panel which will come along with LED Flash to light up the dull moments. To click the selfies or for video calling, VGA front facing camera has been incorporated on board, though it won’t be of much help looking at the camera pixels. Company has also added some special features for front camera like Gesture shot, Soft Light for selfies, Live shot etc.
It also accommodates a special feature called Knock On through which one can now wake up their screen by just double tapping on it. It will features connectivity options like Wifi, Bluetooth, USB, 3G etc. It will also support 4G LTE connectivity.
LG has tried to deliver a compact handset as it measures 5.11 in x 2.55 in x 0.42 inches in dimension and weighs 143 grams.

LG Lancet Price Release Date
Verizon has made Lancet available for sale at the price of $120. It seems quite less but is more in compared to that of AT&T branded version Lumia 635 which is present just at the tag of $49 off contract.
