Loudspeakers at Mosque in Srinagar blared Anti-India and Pro-Pakistan slogan :- Srinagar, J&K: Anti-India and Pro-Pakistan slogans tootled from the loudspeakers at mosque in Srinagar and incited the youth of Kashmir for jihad against India. The death toll raised to 22 after the violence in Kashmir sparked on friday on the killing of Hizbul Mujahadeen Terrorist Burhani Wani. The direct incitement to fight against the security forces and ardent appeals to youth to join jihad against India.
A senior intelligence officer said that those whose links with Pakistan keep such material available to incite anti-India sentiments whenever the protest occur in the Kashmir valley.
Shops, private offices, business offices and petrol pumps were shut down in Kashmir valley due to the violence in the valley. The screams rattled the ailing and old people. Children were seen covering their ears with their palms due to the screams/noise. Universities and schools postponed the exams. The public transport services was totally off roads.
Rajnath Singh who is Union home minister said the Central Government was working with J&K Government to bring normalcy to the Valley. Naeem Akhtar, spokesperson of State Government of J&K also appealed for calm and normalcy with protesters. The protesters attacked 48 police stations in the valley since Saturday. They even looted weapons from one of the police stations. Three policemen are still missing.
Naeem Akhtar said that some dirty elements in the valley are trying to incite violence in Kashmir. He also said that it is duty of parents to stop their children holding protest in the valley. Mobile Internet Service and trains services suspended in the valley.
