Micromax has launched Canvas Mega 2 which is the successor of popular Canvas Mega. It is more a sort of phablet which will be available in black color. It is priced at the amount of INR 7,999 and hence placing itself in the low range segment.
Micromax Mega 2 specs:
It sports 6” IPS Display delivering qHD Display i.e 960X540p. It is powered by quad core processor clocked at the clock frequency of 1.3GHz. It operates on dated Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. Processor here is collaborated along with 1GB of RAM.
It bears 8GB of memory on the board which can be further extended via MicroSd card slot. It accommodates 5MP of camera at the rear combined with LED flash while on front we have 8MP of camera for clicking selfies and for video calling. It is a dual SIM smart phone that comes along with connectivity options like Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.0, GPS, 4G, 3G etc.
It houses 3000mah battery capacity at the back to keep the handset working all day long. It also includes 3.5mm ear jack and Micro USB as connectors.

Shubhajit Sen who is the Chief Marketing Officer of Micromax commented on the possibilities of the 4G and 3G users and said in the interview that by 2020 the user base is speculated to grow till 320 millions from 180 millions. We are expecting that the demand of the internet services will increase with time and there is tremendous market for large screen handsets supporting 4G connectivity and this is the reason why their Doodle series was a hit among the user base. Moreover we think that Mega 2 will definitely prove to be a worth of money gadget and we are also trying to roast the cricket season as IPL fever is at peak.
