National Doctors Day 2018: Everything You Need to Know About This Special Day Dedicated to Doctors: The India is celebrated and rejoiced the National Doctor’s Day each and every year on the 1st July. The day National Doctors Day is also marked to recognise the contributions of physicians and doctors in our locality and the community.

The Doctor’s Day is an effort to highlight the value of doctor’s in our society and the Doctor’s Day is rejoicing to offer them some respect for their dedicated work. The date may be varying from nation to nation it is strictly depend on the event of remembrance which was used to mark the date, which is known as the Doctor’s Day. In some nation, this day is observed as a holiday also.

In India, the Doctor’s Day was launched and established by the government in the year 1991 that also recognise and celebrate the work of physicians on the each and every year on the 1st July.

The day is also marked as the birth and death anniversary of the well-known doctor and the physician of India Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy. Dr Roy was born on July 1, 1882, and he died at the age of 80 in the year July 1, 1962.

It was really unique that he died on his birthday and for that whole world celebrates the National Doctors Day.

He also received the honoured Bharat Ratna Award on February 4, 1961.

On March 30th, 1993, The first Doctor’s Day was observed in Winder, Georgia. The day was celebrated by sending some cards to the physicians, doctors and their wives, flowers were placed on graves of deceased doctors also.

The day is symbolised by red flower as red flowers are signifies love, charity, sacrifice, bravery and courage. These are also some terms which describe the medical profession in the world.

Over the period of time, India has shown remarkable and extraordinary improvement in the medical field and this day is perfect to rejoice the spirit of doctors who had made relentless efforts towards achieving the goal which is also bringing in a cure for treatments which were not presented in the previous times also.
