Srinagar: Nayeem Quadir Bhatt, a talented young cricketer of just 18 year old shot dead during demonstration in Handwara on Tuesday. Earlier, the school boy represented Jammu & Kashmir state and he was selected under-19 camp organized by Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association in 2015.
He was the captain of Jammu & Kashmir team in National Scholl Championship in Delhi in 2015. He played for the Gymkhana of Srinagar based in the capital city of Srinagar and also played for the Downtown Champions League, a T20 competition in the Kashmir valley.
The shocking incident occurs when the Army allegedly opens fire to disperse stone pelting crowd targeting their banker in Handwana located just few hours distance from Srinagar.
Reportedly, the incident was happened over the alleged molestation of a girl by a member of security personnel present in the area.
The other two peoples were killed in the incident.
