Latest news! PM Modi Tour to Japan for 3 days for civil nuclear deal

On Thursday, PM Narendra Modi went on a three-day visit to Japan. Two countries are expected to sign a civil nuclear deal besides discussing ways to step up cooperation in areas like security, investment, and trade.

This is the second visit to Japan as Prime Minister. PM Modi will be holding the annual Summit meeting with his counterpart Shinzo Abe and have an audience with the Emperor of Japan in Tokyo.

 

On Twitter today, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson – Vikas Swarup said that an eastward sojourn begins, this time for the Annual Summit with Japan. PM departs for Tokyo.

PM Modi accompanied by Shinzo Abe from Tokyo. They will travel to Kobe by the famed Shinkansen bullet train. The Bullet train technology that will be deployed for the Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Railway Truck.

PM Modi will visit the Kawasaki Heavy Industries facility in Kobe, where high speed railway is manufactured.

On Wednesday, in a statement PM modi said that I will have a detailed interaction with top business leaders from India and Japan, to look for ways to further strengthen our investment and trade ties.

PM Modi further added that our partnership with Japan is characterised as a Global partnership and Special Strategic. India and Japan see each other through a prism of shared Buddhist heritage, democratic values, and commitment to an open, inclusive and rules-based global order.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said that both the countries have completed the internal procedures including technical and legal aspects of the text of the pact.
