Prithvi Shaw will lead India at U-19 World Cup 2018 Team Squad Announced

The Showstopper Prithvi Shaw is all set to lead India at ICC U-19 World Cup. This was already expected, the young batting sensation Prithvi Shaw will be leading the team India in the ICC Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand, in the month of January.

The 16-team event is all set to hold from the 13th January 1 to 3rd February 2018.

“I’m feeling great and am excited to lead the team. I’m thankful to all the U-19 selectors, Rahul (Dravid) sir, BCCI and the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) for keeping the trust in me that I can handle this team and take the responsibility,” Shaw told to a leading media portal.

This is the time when the Young cricket player Prithvi Shaw is rushing towards Colombo for a press conference which is being organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the event took place on the last Monday.

This is the 18-year-old Shaw’s maiden U-19 World Cup and the world cup is also touted as the much-awaited world cup anyway of 2018.

In another move, the BCCI has also allowed Shaw and Bengal’s Ishan Porel so that they can play the Ranji Trophy quarter-finals. Shaw’s availability will certainly be good news for the city Mumbai.

He faced a strong feedback from the team Karnataka in the knockout game at Nagpur. Both the teams are though will not be able to participate further in this Ranji this season in case their team progresses.

Now in Bengaluru, the all players are supposed to report for a preparatory camp, from this 8th December to 22nd December by the 12th December.

In his budding career so far, Shaw already received a good amount of experience in his captaincy. Prithvi Shaw said regarding this that, “I’ve led my school team for six years, and led the Mumbai U-16 and U-19 teams. I’ve also led the India U-19 team,” he said. “I know all the guys in my team well by now, and am confident that we’ll regain the Cup”.

Prithvi Shaw is a teenaged batsman, who hit a hundred on his first-class debut last year, now he has been in sublime form in the Ranji Trophy for the year.

Overall Prithvi Shaw is having stroked three hundred and two fifties in five games in this eight FC games, he has a hit five hundred at 63.00. “The experience of having played First Class cricket should help m,” he stated.
