Punjabi movie “Sardaar Ji” (also spelled as “Sardar Ji”), get decent opening at the box office and also done wonderful business at the overseas box office, has beaten Hindi dance drama “ABCD 2” (“Any Body Can Dance 2”) to top the international collection chart. With no new Bollywood releases, one-week-old movie “ABCD 2” sustained to keep the bells ringing at the international markets in its second week. Trade analysts had predicted that the movie would once again top the business chart in all foreign markets.

But, Remo D’souza’s film “ABCD2” is getting huge competition from Punjabi film “Sardaar Ji” in its international market. Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa starrer regional film “Sardar ji” released worldwide sin over 106 cinema halls in key international markets such as the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand on 26 June. The movie has collected approximately Rs.5.91 crore ($930388) at the overseas box office in the first weekend.
The movie has pushed “ABCD 2” down to the second place in all these regions. The per-screen average collection of “Sardaar Ji” is more than that of “ABCD 2”.
