Islamabad: The brother of internet sensation and model Qandeel Baloch was arrested for drugging and strangling her. Confessing his crime, he said that he is not embarrassed to have killed her because she disgraced the family.
Qandeel Baloch, 26 years old, was killed by her brother at her home in central district of Multan, Pakistan. Her brother name is Muhammad Wasim. He had fled soon after killing her sister.
Multan City Police chief Azhar Akram said that late on Saturday, he was arrested and he confessed to drugging then strangling Qandeel Baloch “for honour”.

Brother of Model, Wasim told a press conference which was arranged by police said that Absolutely, I strangled her for honour.
Wasim further added that Girls are born to stay at home only and to follow the family tradition and to bring honour to the family but my sister, Qandeel had never done that.
He also said that friends of wasim used to send the videos and pictures on my mobile. Everyone shared pictures and videos of Qandeel with her brother in the mobile market. Killing Qandeel was better than committing suicide so I went with the former plan.

Qandeel Baloch was a media sensation, bold in her videos and considered quite controversial in the country. She shot to fame in Pakistan in 2014 after a video of her pouting for the camera. Qandeel became famous through her tireless self-promotion and suggestive “selfies” posted on social media. She had amassed tens of thousands of followers.
Qandeel had taken social media by storm with her statement promising to strip if Pakistan won against India in the T20 cricket match in March.
The funeral of Qandeel Baloch was held early Sunday near her family home in southern Punjab.
