Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is playing role of a 18th century Maratha king in his upcoming film Baaji Rao Mastani directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Well, Sanjay conceptualized the film by keeping actor Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in his mind. The senior actors cant committee to the movie anyway.
Ranveer Singh Plays Role of Maratha King in Bajirao Mastani Film
This is second time Ranveer is working with Bhansali after the success of Goliyon ki Raasleela Ramleela. The actor says about this that he approached for the role, “with blood, sweat and tears”; to help the director realized his grand vision. Regarding doing the movie the actor said in an interview, “I have approached this film as one of my most creative ventures. I knew this was one film that he always wanted to make and I knew that Baaji Rao is his most precious characters. So, for him to entrust it to me is really a big deal”.
“He is one of the greatest directors of Hindi cinema and for me to that special film, and special part of him, is a huge honor. That’s why I’m approaching it with blood, sweat and tears, really putting in everything and hoping that people will appreciate it,” the artist added further.
Bajirao Mastani Film Details
Ranveer speak to media more, “The thing is that I was not privy to any of this. For me it was not about who was going to prospectively be cast in the film; for me it was Mr. Bhansali’s most precious film and he selected me and I am happy about it. When you say BajiRao, only I come to mind. The baggage or history was never part of my mental periphery”.
Ranveer injured his shoulder while shooting for the film, “I fell of horse. I was doing my own stunts in Bajirao Mastani and I fell of it and got injured”, he says.
Ranveer is currently enjoying success of his latest release Dil Dhadakne Do where Priyanka Chopra plays his sister’s role. While in Bajirao Mastani slated to release 25th December 2015, in the movie PC will be seen with him in his wife’s role.
