The Men’s Hockey team is one of the participants in the Rio Olympic 2016 and the latest news is coming out Sreejesh will lead the Men’s hockey team in Olympic.

This means that, the regular and the long time skipper standing Sardar Singh will not be seen in action as a captain. Although, Sardar is still in the team.

This decision came to a surprise to the whole Indian fraternity and especially to the Hockey lover fans as Sardar Singh was a captain from a long period of time.

Meanwhile, this decision was only taken after the India’s brilliant performance under the captaincy of the PR Sreejest in the blue riband six-nation Champions Trophy hockey tournament in London.

Although, India lost to the Australian in the final but they managed to win the Silver medal and finished up the tournament as the second-best team in the tournament.

This performance of Indian team in this tournament was best and this is the best performance in last 38 years. Indian Hockey was just played at the another level in all the matches played in this tournament.

PR Sreejest has also performed brilliantly in the whole tournament and this is the main reason behind the appointment of  him as a captain.

On the others side, SV Sunil has been appointed as the Vice Captain of Indian Hockey team and let me tell you one thing guys, he was the key player in the successful outing of the Indian team in  the blue riband six-nation Champions Trophy hockey tournament in London.

Meanwhile, Sardar Singh is axed and this team now will look to perform at the upcoming Olympics. Fans will be really excited about the new Indian Hockey teama nd will expect them to fire under the captaincy of the new captain.
