Reports are coming that the company is about to launch its most awaited 650cc motorcycles – Interceptor & Continental GT in the domestic market of India. As per the reports both bikes are all set to launch in Indian market by mid of next year. Also, you all can start the booking for these bikes from upcoming year.

As you all may know that the company showcased these motorcycles at this year’s EICMA followed by Rider Mania 2017. Also, the sources are saying that the bike is expected to skip the biennial Auto Show this year as well, Royal Enfield will initiate the bookings for the interested buyers with a token amount of INR 5000 reports Express Drives. Well, now, first of all, we all are going to talk about the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 which is a modern day roadster and it takes inspiration from the motorcycle of the past – Interceptor 736cc whereas Continental GT 650 is a cafe racer version. Powering the motorcycles will be a newly developed 648cc parallel twin cylinder air-cooled unit which will develop 47 bhp of maximum power against the peak torque of 53 Nm. Now, if we talk about the second model then we can say that as far as the pricing is concerned, the 650 twin motorcycles are expected to carry a competitive price tag in the two-wheeler market. We speculate that the motorcycles could be priced somewhere in the price bracket of INR 3.25 lakh to INR 3.5 lakh (Ex-showroom). Considering this price point, the Chennai-based bike maker will be rolling out most affordable mid-capacity motorcycles in the country.
