Sachin Tendulkar is the third goodwill ambassador from Indian Olympic Association. Bollywood actor Salman Khan and Gold medalist Abhinav Bindra are also chosen as a goodwill ambassador for Indian Olympic Association. Sachin Tendulkar is a legend of cricket and also known very well in the whole world for his extensive records.
The IOA confirmed that Sachin Tendulkar is a good will ambassador and accepted their offer.Rajiv Mehta said to media that Sachin Tendulkar received their request to become a goodwill ambassador of Indian contingent in the Olympics.
Mehta also added that they are going to add famous music composer AR Rehman for this. All of them are triumphal that Sachin Tendulkar will join them and hopefully took a forward step for Indian sports.
Milkha Singh and Yogeshwar Dutt had already said that this honor should be given to sportsman, and they should not give the invitation to Bollywood stars. Milkha Singh already pointed a finger on the decision, when they choose Salman Khan.
Indian Olympic Association secretary-general Rajiv Mehta said that Mr. Rahman was yet to communicate with them, and he is hopeful that he will accept their invitation. Mehta also said that with the help of this goodwill ambassador, they will spread the idea of Olympic movement in every street and every colony and every village of India.
