CES 2016 witness the renewed of partnership of Samsung and Microsoft on the IoT or Internet Of Things. At the event, Samsung also announced their plans to launch a tablet which has a surface kind of look and comes along with soft foldable keyboard.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro S Specification
Company has named this tablet as “Samsung Galaxy TabPro S”. Company has not yet divulged the details regarding the pricing of this slate. Most probably the skate will be launched in the month of April or May.
This new tablet will be competing against the slate like Google Pixel C wherever it is present while in Indian market it will be locking the horns with iPad Pro and surface Pro 4. The USP of this slate is that one gets an option of either using windows Home 10 or Pro. Moreover one also gets amazing specs in terms of hardware in this tablet.
Coming to the specs of this tablet then we are having 2 in 1 option. It sports 12” AMOLED Display delivering the screen resolution up to 2160X1440pixels. Clearly one gets amazing crystal clear display quality.
Talking about its software part, it is powered by Intel Core M3 processor and the processor will be combined with 4GB of internal RAM. It bears whopping 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB of SSD storage.
Company claims that this tablet is thinner and lighter than the faddish iPad Pro and one is getting the Intel chipset with active pen support. It houses huge 5200mAh battery backup which promises 10 hours of the battery life. The other highlight of this tablet is that it is touted as the first tablet which also supports LTE Cat 6 connectivity.
It also accommodates 5MP of shooter at the rear as well as at the front. Both rear as well as front camera proffers decent picture quality and hence letting one store their favorite moments. With 5MP front camera there is provision for clicking selfies as well which has become the latest trend.
On connectivity front, it entails features like Wifi 802/11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 along with Bluetooth Pen, multiport adapter supporting HDMI, USB Type A and C etc.
Multiport adapter and Bluetooth pen is needed to be purchased separately if one wants. As we have mentioned above it comes with detachable keyboard.
It is also equipped with features like NFC and GPS. It measures 290.3mmx198.8mmx6.3mm in dimension and weighs just 693 grams.

If they’d have put in an m7 processor, 8GB RAM, and an additional USB-C (+/- Thunderbolt compatible) they’d have a device that would clean up!! Sad to see it fall short on the specs. 🙁 Hopefully, they can introduce more memory and a faster processor to really compete with the i5 6300U Surface Pro 4 processor.
