Udta Punjab star Shahid Kapoor and Hottie Deepika Padukone to teamed together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next as the part of Deepika Padukone’s husband in “Padmavati.” Before they have worked twice in 2013 and this is their third venture together. Some reports also claim that none of the A-list stars are willing to play second fiddle to the leading lady, leaving the unit in a fix.
If statements are to be considered, Shahid Kapoor has been proposed for the role and if all falls into place, the “Udta Punjab” star may just leap in. “Bhansali desires Shahid to portray the Chittor King who is wedded to Rani Padmini of Chittorgarh,”
Meanwhile, the team had nearly affirmed a television star for the role, but Deepika put her toes down and possibly said she wanted somebody who is a big deal opposing her. Also, she has some deep, passionate scenes with her husband, which is why she desires for an A-lister. The onscreen man has to be finalised promptly as the first post is all about the king and queen (of the film).
Vicky Kaushal of “Raman Raghav 2.0” fame was nearly on the front the period-drama but step out of it as he believes the play is too limited and isn’t central to the plot.
