One teacher along with 7 students of an engineering college in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh have been booked for allegedly sodomising a student in the hostel, UP Police said.
Surya Pratap Singh who is a first year student and resident of Farrukhabad district, was allegedly sodomised repeatedly in the hostel of Sanjay Engineering College, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.
The first year student – Surya Pratap Singh alleged that he would often be drugged and sodomised by fellow students and a teacher.
Additional SP(Rural) – Arun Kumar Singh said that an FIR has been registered under relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Act against 7 students and a teacher, Ayush Yadav in connection with the case. Additional SP Arun added that the college administration has already suspended the accused students from the college.
As per the registered FIR, victim Surya was threatened when he opposed to his repeated victimisation.
The father of victim – Rajesh Pratap Singh alleged in the FIR that even the teacher asked his son to adjust when he raised the matter to him.
He alleged that the accused students were mixing intoxicating drugs in my son’s food and did not hesitate to inject the intoxicating injection to my son.
The local police further is investigating the case and also enquired to other college students about the case.
This type of ragging in the college is enough to destroy the whole career of victim student. Even, the victim student killed himself because of ragging.
