Shocking News! 7 Seven Injured In Explosion at Chhattisgarh Steel Plant :- Around 7 workers suffered burn injuries, two of them in critical condition, following an explosion at steel plant in Raipur, Chhattisgarh , police said on Saturday.
Superintendent of Police – Sanjeev Shukla said that the accident took place on Friday night at Bajrang Ispat located in Tilda Police Station area in Raipur when the victims were working close to a blast furnace.
He said that as per the preliminary information, when the night shift workers were busy with their task, suddenly a chamber of furnace exploded following which hot liquid fell on them causing serious burn injuries.
After getting the information of the incident, Raipur Collector OP Choudhary and the Superintendent of Police rushed to the spot immediately along with security personnel.
He said that 7 workers were injured in the incident and were immediately shifted to a nearby private hospital here.
Shukla said that 2 out of 7 injured people were said to be in a critical condition because they have sustained over 80% burns.
Shukla further said that a police team and experts have been sent to the spot to find out the exact cause of the blast in the furnace. A case has been registered in this connection and further probe was on in this case.
