Jailed AIADMK Chief VK Sasikala’s husband M Natarajan passes away at the hospital in Chennai post he suffered from the multiple organ failures. The 74-year-old leader was admitted to Gleneagles Global Health City hospital on the last week because he was suffering from the chest infection, his stipulation and condition were also “critical”.
“It is with profound grief and sorrow that we announce the sad demise of Natarajan Maruthappa at 1.35 AM today,” an official release issued by Shanmuga Priyan, the chief operating officer of Gleneagles Global Health City, said.
VK Sasikala, at this time lodged in the central prison in Bengaluru, has applied for 15-day parole so that she can attain last rites and funeral ceremony for her late husband Mr. Natarajan.
“Natarajan Maruthappa was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU), Gleneagles Global (Hospital), on March 16 with the severe chest infection,” the hospital had told in a statement on the last week.
Mr. Natarajan was on ventilator support as well his health was in the critical condition,” the hospital’s chief operating officer, Shanmuga Priyan had already said this in the last week.
In the month of October on 2017, Mr. Natarajan underwent a life-saving double organ transplant and was discharged as he was properly recovered. VK Sasikala, at present serving a four-year prison term because of her disproportionate assets case, reportedly, had visited her husband post she had requested parole for 15 days so that she can see her critically ill husband.
Mr. Natarajan had a condition where his liver and kidney were failing and had lung congestion, so he went for the twin organ transplant.
He underwent tracheostomy in the month of October on 2017 and was on ventilator support much before he was discharged from the hospital.
VK Sasikala and the former government public relations officer, Natarajan Maruthappa was married to each other for almost 33 years. He was the first person who introduced Sasikala to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, late J Jayalalithaa.
Mr. Natarajan was among Sasikala’s relatives who were disqualified by Jayalalithaa from her Poes Garden home in Chennai; she accused them they are doing work against her interests reportedly.
Sasikala’s nephew TTV Dhinakaran was also one of them who thrown out. Sasikala dropped her husband’s name on 2017 and added the prefix VK in order to relapse to her maiden name, eventually afterward of this she was appointed as the general secretary of the AIADMK anyway.
J Jayalalithaa let VK Sasikala back on her side but as per various reports, she let a condition that Sasikala should end her all kind of relationship and ties she is having with her family, including her husband also.
