Meanwhile, the highlight of this match will the 39-year-old Tillakaratne Dilshan, who has announced his retirement from Internationa cricket after the t20 series against Australias. The third ODI will the last one for the old leg of Dilshan as he decided to not play the last two ODI match.

Also, Sri Lanka will love to give their senior player a much-deserved farewell by winning his last ODI game. Meanwhile, it is believed that Sri Lanka will enter this match with the same playing eleven, but for a case, they have called 19 years old uncapped fast bowler–in their squad.

Australia team Preview

The Australia will play the third ODI under the leadership of their new captain David Warner as Cricket Australia Board decided to rest regular skipper Steven Smith for the upcoming South Africa tour.

Meanwhile, this will the first time when Warner will lead his team in Gold. David Warner is not new to the captaincy as he led Sunrises Hyderabad to their maiden IPL trophy in recently concluded IPL.

Apart, from this, it is believed that Shaun Marsh will replace Steven Smith and Khawaja will replace Moises Henriques who were unavailable to read the spinners of Sri Lanka in the second ODI.

The batting department of Australian will rely on the trio of David Warner, Aaron Finch, and Mattew wade. Also, young Travis Head played beautifully for his well made 31 in last ODI.

The biggest problem of Australian in this series has been their approach toward the spinners of Sri Lanka. Earlier, Rangana Herath destroyed their bowling lineup in the Test series and now, the trio of Dilruwan Perera, Amila Aponso, and Seekuge Prasanna destroyed the batting line up of mighty Australians.

The bowling will be led by the Mitchell Starc and James Faulkner. These both impressed everyone in both first two ODI. Also, there is strong possibility that Josh Hazelwood will return to the playing eleven in place of Nathan Lyon.

Adam Zampa will be the lone spinner for Australia and if rumours to believe, then the think tank of Australia are thinking to utilise the off-spin of Travis Head.

Well, Australia will definitely look to bounce back and be knowing him, the dashing left-hander batsman must be looking to led his team from the front.
