Sonakshi Sinha records a ‘Raj Raj Ke’ song for Akira with Shekhar Ravjiani :- In now time long race of Bollywood Industry no actress has left any stone unturned as Bollywood now is not limited to just acting. It stretches from acting to dancing, action, sizzles even to singing. Where Alia, Parineeti and Shraddha have made their names in singing for their own film before and now its Sonakshi who is singing for his next upcoming Akira.
What made you sing this particular song?
The song Hai ranjishein tere mere darmiyaan zindagi, Gunjayishein samjhoton ki dur tak dikhti nahi… pours out, rage. It is about how a poor girl will not remain quiet, but war back and that’s the sense of the verse. We were rolling in the song’s video and every single time I went to give a shot I would finish up humming it with all my pleasure. It’s just one of those numbers.
So the makers suggested that I should sing it for recording as well. Everyone was stunned as I make use of total 30 minutes after the mic! It was a wonderful adventure and completely the kind of place that I desire to be in. Hai ranjishein… is the sort of song I have always wanted to record. Shekhar (Ravjiani) was also supporting and that eased a lot.
Did you rehearse before singing it?
No, I didn’t. It was really a spur-of-the-moment stuff and indeed all my practice happened while filming the video. I just arrived up at the studio after that and done with it in about half-an-hour, also Shekhar was shocked. Though I haven’t taken any official schooling, I have always relished music and singing. And I think when you love to do anything, over time you get better at it.
Akira is complete, so will your song be for a promotional video?
Yes, it is. It’s a fabulous song and will be actually good for me to unite with the youth while marketing the film. It has a high feel to it.
