Sony Unveils 2 New PS Pro & Slim Versions Specification Features Price

On 7th September, Sony launched a pair of new PlayStation 4, including a deluxe version that is compatible with high dynamic range television.

Two new products supplement the 13th October launch of Sony’s eagerly anticipated virtual reality headset and come ahead of the key holiday shopping season as the Japanese company hopes to maintain its edge over Xbox of Microsoft.

The Play Station 4 Slim is an energy-efficient version of the conventional PlayStation 4. The conventional PS4 has sold more than 40 million consoles since 2013.

The new version is very light in weight. This version will hit the market on 15th September and sell for US $299. This price is about US $50 less than a conventional PlayStation 4.

Chief executive of Sony Interactive Entertainment – Andrew House said that it was always our intention to design the PlayStation 4 as a platform to fuel and simulate future revolution.

During the 45 minutes event, games shown on the PS4 Pro displayed the textual detail of the Mass Effect: Andromeda, Lara Croft in the popular series ‘ Tomb Raider’ and Spiderman game.

Gaming developers Activision and Electronic Arts said that such popular games as Mass Effect: Andromeda and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare would be ready once the PS4 Pro launches.

The officials of Sony Entertainment said that both YouTube and Netflix are developing Apps that can run on the Play Station 4 Pro. The PS4 Pro will launches on 10th November for US $399. Developers are also being guided to introduce games that are compatible across the PlayStation 4 universe.

Sony said that since the first generation of the console was introduced in late 1994, PS4 has seen the strongest and fastest adoption. The device is a key element in the strategy of Sony of creating a home entertainment hub centered around the console.
